So finally the teaching year has drawn to a close and the business of report writing and some serious timetabling must start. Last week saw my graduating students completing their studies with their End of Year Show. There isn’t space to include everyone, but here are a few examples of their work:
Ollie Brown designed a website platform, with supporting printed media, promoting an online retro game competition.
Libby Whiteside explored her, past, present and future self through a set of 3 zines with accompanying posters.
Saskia Craddock explored hidden areas of East Sussex through personal photography, which she categorised into Urban, Beach, Woodland and Downland, then laid out into a set of 4 hand-bound books.
Chloe Martinson designed a typeface and patterns inspired by the piano keyboard and Bridget Riley, presented in a hand-bound concertina book and set of posters.
Jon Simes explored the made-made forms in the natural environment through personal photography, presented in a ‘look book’ and set of posters.
And finally, I received some Chocolates! Well done Class of 2015!
